Update: COVID -19 is a little more serious now than when I first wrote this. I did out of frustration with the lockdowns.

In some areas of the world, we are slowly getting back to normal. There still seems to be a great deal of panic about Covid-19. I am not entirely sure why this is the case. This pandemic in terms of serious illnesses is not all that bad in my view compared to past infections. A few million infections are not a real cause for concern. While this illness has killed several hundred thousand people, That still pales in comparison to the world population of over 7 billion people.

Why the quick rush to shut everything down during this pandemic? In the past, we’ve had infections that were worse than this one. We have terrifying illnesses such as ebola and other contagions, yet we don’t shut things down when that happens.

We isolated the area and worked to contain the infection. It makes more sense in the age of Covid-19 to quarantine old age homes and other areas. This is because the bulk of the infections have been older individuals. While some young people have been getting the infection, the percentage is not that high.

Shutdowns Make No Sense
