It’s a society problem. Society has degenerated so much that gun violence is now commonplace. It wasn't commonplace before. It’s a problem of a sick society and lack of education. I don’t own any guns but I have family that does and they have never harmed anyone. Lots of guns and hunters in my small Canadian town, but no gun deaths. The cities are violent hellholes, that is why there are so many gun deaths there. I moved out of the city because of that. The criminals aren't about to obey any gun laws. They will have free reign over citizens. Fix the inner cities, create job opportunity, restore mutual respect between people and you’ll see gun deaths drop to almost zero. Silly me, that’s just common sense. I don't know what I was thinking.

Gun violence is caused by sick people. I would propose a mandatory gun safety course requirement for anyone wanting to buy a gun. You fail that, you can't buy. We have that in Canada. I have a family member that does that here. Education is the answer. America has millions of responsible gun owners that have used firearms their entire lives without harming anyone. Don’t see why they should be punished for the actions of a few. Most gun deaths are from crazy people, accidents from the uneducated, suicidal people, and those involved in hardcore crime. Nowhere in this equation do I see violent gun deaths from the average hunter or guy that likes to shoot targets on Saturday with his buddies.
