Almost 50, yes it’s true

I am not so young

My mother, father, watching down at me

My grandmother, too

My knees get sore my back aches

Sometimes I just need to take a break

That happens

I am not so young

I tend to go to bed at an earlier time

I am not so young

Byt I have my wife and my guitar, too

Without them both I’d never make it though

I face each day, this new decade

The sunset of my youth it fades

It happens

We can’t always be young

The future beckons

I am not so young

Getting older isn’t all that bad

All I did and All I had

My heart will always be

The best part of me

Young at heart they say

For the not so young
