Hollywood Remakes: Entertainment is Getting Boring

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting tired of Hollywood remakes. You would think that an industry that hires writers would be able to come up with something original. While I have seen some good remakes of movies in the past, a lot of remakes never live up to the original. Why do we want to remake movies that have already been made? I enjoy the original story, and I don’t think that most movies should be done again.

Out of Ideas

I think Hollywood the most part is running out of ideas. Making a remake is the cheap way to big buck. I would like to see more original content and not movies that are remakes from the past. Hollywood has recently decided to remake Scarface again. Granted, the movie with Al Pacino is a remake of the original Scarface, which came out in the 1930s. The remake was a modern take on crime. I don’t think of movies such as this should be remade again. This is the problem with Hollywood. They keep making movies that have already been done and redoing them again and again. I don’t really want to relive the past. I would rather have stories that are original.

My main problem is that Hollywood seems to be obsessed with the remake bandwagon. All of these stories have been told before. There’s no reason to keep telling them again and again. I want more original content. I’m just…
