The corporate seduction

Pushed to you

All shiny and new

A beckoning billboard sign

Soon the trinket is mine

In a sweatshop

A foreign land

A child works their hands

For meager pay

But it’s ok

On the way to you

Line up for hours

All for a shiny thing

Hollow joy it shall bring

Use it a while and throw it away

But It’s ok

A child will make a new one for you
