Humans are odd creatures. We have so much fear inside of ourselves. I guess it’s our own mortality that drives it. Now with the new Coronavirus outbreak, it’s bringing out the worst in us. Of course, it doesn’t take much for this to happen. I’ve seen it time and time again.

As the virus makes its way around the world, we have resorted to beating the shit out of each other over toilet paper and other necessities. To me, it’s another reminder of how far we have to go as a species on this planet. I’m not about to go to the mall and beat the hell out of people over my ability to squeeze the Charmin.

We are incapable of handling problems such as a new virus. We are gripped by fear and paranoia. We care more about our own miserable lives than what the virus actually represents. The virus is another indication our planet is in peril. The virus isn’t the problem. It’s just another example of the pestilence we have become on this planet. Dr. Zaius, in the original Planet of the Apes, was right about us.

“You are right, I have always known about man. From the evidence, I believe his wisdom must walk hand and hand with his idiocy.”

“You are a menace. A walking pestilence.”
