Sleep is more important than we realize and it goes beyond just improving our mood or eliminating circles under our eyes. If you want a healthy mind, weight, heart, and other factors you need to ensure you get enough sleep. W used to ignore sleep as a factor in health, but now more than ever it’s becoming important. Here are 11 amazing ways that sleep can benefit you.

Better Memory

Your memory is quite active while you sleep. When you sleep, you strengthen the memories you learned while awake in a process we call consolidation. When you learn a mental or a physical skill you learn this up to a certain point, but when you sleep you actually learn that skill better. Once you sleep you end up with improved performance in that skill.

Longer life

If you don’t sleep well you could have a shorter life. In 2010 a study of women aged 50 to 79 showed that more of them died when they got less than 5 hours of sleep each night. Your quality of life is also impacted by how much you sleep. You can have a better life just by sleeping more.

Less Inflammation
